Real talk? Teaching is wild + here’s what’s in common with the teacher mentors/homies that I really jive with: they roll with it + they taught me how to roll with it, too. 

There’s days when the room is more quiet than usual + the kids just wanna lock in and get a ton of work done. Beautiful, we grind + we knock it out.

Then, there’s days when they’re a lil squirrely. They wanna chat. We spend more time yappin’ and it’s fine because it’s always gonna balance out at the end of the unit (I don’t know the science behind it but it just always does).
